INDIANOIL PETRONAS PRIVATE LIMITED (IPPL) successfully conducted an Off-Site Mock Emergency Exercise on 10 February 2026 in close coordination with the District Administration, Purba Medinipur, as part of its ongoing commitment to emergency preparedness, safety excellence, and stakeholder coordination. The comprehensive drill witnessed active involvement from key government and emergency response agencies, including the Police Administration, Haldia Traffic Police, West Bengal Fire & Emergency Services, Civil Defence Haldia, SDO Office, Factory Directorate, Press & Media representatives, and Mutual Aid Partners. The exercise was designed to test the effectiveness of emergency response mechanisms, inter-agency coordination, communication protocols, and preparedness levels under simulated emergency conditions.
The mock exercise also saw enthusiastic participation from neighboring industries and critical stakeholders such as HPL, IOCL Pipeline Division, IVL Dhunseri Petrochem, Indorama India Pvt. Ltd., BPCL LPG Import Terminal, BPCL POL, IOCL Terminals A & B, RIL Haldia Refinery, MCPI, Haldia Subdivisional Hospital, Haldia Development Corporation (HDC), and NDRF 2nd Battalion, Kalyani. Their active involvement reinforced the strength of mutual aid arrangements and demonstrated a collective commitment toward industrial safety and community protection in the Haldia region.
